Guest Rules
Dress Code Policy
We kindly ask that all Members support the tradition, decorum, and integrity of our Club by complying with the Dress Code. Members must ensure that their family and Guests are dressed appropriately while on Club property from the time of their arrival. Guests, in particular, should be advised of the Club dress code before they arrive. The dress code will apply to all Members and guests ages five (5) and up.
GOLF ATTIRE:
Appropriate golf attire must be worn at all times on the Championship Golf Course, Par 3 course, practice course, and surrounding areas by all Members, guests, and immediate family of Members who are treated as a guest. Players may not use the parking lot for changing clothes, including shoes. It is each Member’s responsibility to inform his or her guests of this policy and direct them to the locker room facilities where temporary lockers will be provided for them.
- Men: All males are required to wear golf shirts (tucked in) and golf slacks or appropriate length shorts with socks. Shorts are considered appropriate length if they are either (a) no more than 3 inches above the knee, or (b) at least 19 inches long (from top of the waistband to the bottom of the short). Short shorts, cut-offs, bib overalls, jean/denims, cargo shorts/pants, sleeveless shirts, t-shirts, swimsuits, etc. are not considered appropriate attire and are not permitted. Mock turtleneck golf shirts are considered appropriate if they have a collar length of at least 1 1/4 inches. Hats must be worn forward.
- Women: Shorts for women and girls 16 years of age or older are considered appropriate length if they are a) no more than four (4) inches above the knee or (b) at least seventeen (17) inches long (measured from top of the waistband to the bottom of the shorts/skirt). Golf slacks, culottes, Bermuda shorts, and sleeveless tops are permitted. Halters, leggings, midriffs, or short shorts are not considered appropriate attire and are not permitted.
RACQUET SPORTS ATTIRE:
Tennis attire shall be worn for play (T-shirts are not allowed). Swimsuits shall not be allowed. Shirts must be worn at all times. Regulation tennis shoes must be worn by all players. Spectators on the courts must wear tennis or soft-soled shoes.
POOL ATTIRE:
- Men: Bathing suit or shorts with T-shirt or golf shirt. Appropriate hats are acceptable, and hats with bills must face forward.
- Women: Bathing suit (not revealing or immodest) with cover-up or shorts/capris with an appropriate top.
GENERAL CLUBHOUSE ATTIRE (Please see specific dress codes for each venue below)
- Appropriate: Button-down and dress shirts, polo shirts, turtlenecks, blouses, sweaters, dresses, skirts, slacks, dress pants, proper length golf or similarly appropriate shorts, jackets, and blazers. All shirts must always be tucked in.
- Inappropriate: Blue denim (except in January, in recognition of Denver’s annual Stock Show) anywhere on the Club grounds, graphic t-shirts, athletic wear, leisure/loungewear, and yoga pants. No attire that is ripped, torn, has holes, or frays. No “cargo” shorts. No items that are revealing or immodest, exposed midriffs, swimwear, flip flops, men’s open-toed sandals, or hats. Clothing that is soiled or unkept will not be allowed.
SPECIFIC VENUE ATTIRE (acceptable attire, not to the exclusion of the above)
Main Dining on Ground Level of Clubhouse:
- Men: Shorts and collared shirts or golf attire. Shirts always tucked in.
- Women: Shorts, capris, skirts, or golf attire.
Arnie’s Upstairs Dining (indoors):
- Men: Appropriate clubhouse attire (except no shorts). Jackets are required after 5:00 p.m., and a tie is optional.
- Women: Appropriate clubhouse attire. Cocktail dresses/shirts or slacks.
Clubhouse Basement Areas:
- Fitness Areas: Appropriate athletic wear, hats allowed with bill facing forward.
- Kids/Teen Zones: Appropriate wear for under 18, shirts tucked in, no blue denim.
- Golf Simulator Room: Appropriate clubhouse attire.
Event Dress Code:
Dress which is more formal may be designated and required for certain events as announced in the notice of the event. Costume attire is acceptable when provided in the notice of the event. If no dress is stated in the notice, then applicable dress codes above apply.
Enforcement:
The Club COO or his designee will inform all Members who violate the Dress Code, and the Member may receive a letter of reprimand.
Cell Phone Policy
The following policy applies to cell phones and mobile electronic devices of any kind, including but not limited to cell phones, smart phones, mobile phones, two-way radios, pagers, PDA’s, wearable technology (including iWatches or similar devices), iPads, tablets, notebooks, laptops, or other portable computers, or any similar electronic communication devices capable of connecting to a network (hereinafter “cell phones”).
To preserve the integrity and atmosphere of the Club and out of respect for Members and their guests, cell phones are not permitted to be used at Cherry Hills Country Club, except as provided in this rule. Cell phones may not be used in the Clubhouse or on the Club Grounds for outgoing or incoming telephone calls or the retrieval of voice messages; however, cell phones may be used for such purposes in the following areas only:
• inside the Member computer office in the Men’s Locker Room Grille area;
• in the telephone rooms located on each Clubhouse level.
• inside the Women’s Locker Room by the courtesy phone.
• by the courtesy phones by the pool.
• inside an automobile in the Club parking lot (with windows up).
Cell phones may be used for the silent receipt and transmission of emails, text messages, and other electronic information anywhere in the Clubhouse or on the Club Grounds.
Cell phones must always be set on silent or vibrate notification in the Clubhouse or on the Club Grounds. It is a violation of this rule for a cell phone to audibly ring or sound anywhere in the Clubhouse or on the Club Grounds.
Photography & Social Media Policy
Any photographs or videos taken anywhere on Club property for publication or commercial purposes are not permitted without the Club’s express written consent. Photographs or videos taken on Club property are prohibited from being shared on any and all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.). Further, any reference to Cherry Hills Country Club (either in full or abbreviated as CHCC), or its members, activities, or practices, that is or might become accessible by the public is not permitted (i.e., hashtags, comments, posts, location check-ins, etc.).
